Kali Uchis short artist biography: Karly-Marina Loaiza, best known by her stage name Kali Uchis, is a Colombian-American singer, songwriter, record producer, director of music videos, and fashion designer. She was born on July 17, 1994.
Doo-wop, reggae, funk, calm storm, and psychedelia are just a few of the various soul genres that Kali’s style of art pop draws inspiration from. She also mentions Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald as sources of inspiration.
Kali learned to play the saxophone and piano as a child. In high school, she discovered music production and video editing, and in 2012, she produced her first project, Drunken Babble. Since then, Kali has released her debut album, Isolation, in 2018, as well as an EP in 2015 called Por Vida.
